Refractory bricks are commonly used in high alumina, clay, magnesia, silicon carbide, light weight, etc. When building refractory bricks of different materials, the refractory clay with bricks must be made of the same material as refractory bricks.
That is, high-alumina refractory clay must be used for high-alumina bricks, but 65% high-alumina refractory clay must be used for primary high-alumina bricks with 75% content. High-alumina refractory clay with a content of 55-60% is used for secondary high-alumina bricks with a content of 65%. Grade III high-alumina brick uses 50% high-alumina refractory clay.
In general, the proportion of refractory mud used is 5%. However, the proportion of magnesia fire mud is less than 2%, because there is a phenomenon of semi-dry masonry, such as magnesia bricks used in rotary kilns are semi-dry masonry, so the dosage is small. Light clay brick with brick light refractory mud is 10%. Of course, different refractory mud prices are also different.
The content of refractory mud for high alumina bricks is lower than that of high alumina bricks, because a certain proportion of clay powder should be added to the high alumina fire mud to increase the viscosity of the fire mud. Therefore, the aluminum content of high alumina fire mud will be lower than that of high alumina bricks.
Of course, magnesia bricks should be made of magnesia fire mud, silicon carbide bricks should be made of silicon carbide fire mud, clay bricks should be made of clay fire mud, light bricks should also be made of different materials, light fire mud of different materials can be selected, and carbon bricks should be made of coarse seam paste and fine seam paste.
In the selection of refractory brick fire mud at the same time, refractory mud manufacturers to produce refractory mud, will pay attention to the eye powder mesh. In principle, the finer the better. Because the viscosity of refractory mud is very important, if it is too coarse, it will dry too fast, which will bring unnecessary trouble to the construction of refractory bricks.
When building refractory bricks, different types of refractory grout shall be used with different instruments to prevent slurry mixing. When adding water to refractory mud, be sure to use drinking water, stir and mix evenly. The mixed refractory mud cannot be diluted with water. The mortar joint is full, and the refractory brick joint must be made dense. The surface brick joint should be scratched with refractory mud. Some parts that cannot be corrected can also be leveled with refractory mud.
